MASJID AL- EHSAN: “Contributing to Community”

He was a staunch religious person. He bought a land in the prime area of Thanjavur town and built a mosque and madrasa to accommodate about 1,000 persons in prayer. He was the Founder Trustee of the mosque and maintained the same out of his own funds till date, a legacy now taken over by his family following his footsteps. His religious tolerance can be appreciated from the foundation stone found in the mosque which acknowledges the contributions made by the NON MUSLIMS for the construction of the mosque, a quality which he followed throughout his life. He had more friends in other religions
more than from his own community, a solid proof for how he practiced religious harmony.
